Penguins Swim In To Sydney Harbour

You are not seeing things! It really is ice, snow and penguins on the shores of Sydney Harbour.

One hot Saturday morning in November, Blues Point Park on the Sydney Harbour foreshore was the venue for an exhibition of ice-carving and origami by talented Sydney-based ice sculptor Kenji Ogawa, and a fellow sculptor, artist and restaurateur Michi Sawatari from Yokohama.

Boasting corporate clients from all corners of the globe, more recently Kenji has worked on many humanitarian projects such as: The Fall of the Berlin Wall, Persian Gulf Peace Message, 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, Mahatma Gandhi, WWF and Free Tibet.

This display in Sydney was a timely and effective initiative to increase awareness of the effects of global warming on our planet and the urgency for action by individuals and nations on global warming because of the threat is poses to wildlife.
